Minimum Qualification for admission to Ph.D. programme (As per UGC Guideline-2018)

Candidates seeking admission to the Ph.D. Program, whether full time or part time, shall have to possess requisite percentage of marks / grade point average in qualifying examination as indicated below:

1. The required minimum qualification for admission to a Ph.D. Program shall normally be a two years Master’s OR M.Phil. Degree from any Recognized Indian or Foreign University in the relevant field. She/he must have obtained 55% marks or Equivalent Grade in the Master’s or M.Phil. Degree.A relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55% to 50%, or an equivalent relaxation of grade, may be allowed for the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC /Differently-abled and other categories of candidates as per the UGC Norms.

2. Applicants with Chartered Accountancy (CA) Qualification from 'The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India' (ICAI)/ Cost and Works Accountancy of ICWAI/ Company Secretary of ICSI with a minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade may be considered eligible for admission to Ph.D. Programs in the relevant field.

3. Foreign/ NRI applicants / Applicants with a Masters’ degree from a foreign university must apply with an equivalence certificate of AIU along with the Online Application Form.

Institute Employees/Research scholars working under part-time category.

For Research Scholars of this category, the minimum educational qualifications are the same as prescribed in 1 to 3 above for admission to the Ph.D. program in the respective categories. However, GATE score or CSIR/UGC JRF or Lectureship/NBHM/JMET/ CAT/AIMA or equivalent qualification as applicable for regular full time research scholars may not be required in these cases.

Admission to Ph.D. programme for foreign scholars :

I. Foreign nationals can only register as regular full time scholars. Foreign nationals with degree from Indian Universities will be treated at per with Indian nationals for admission purposes. Foreign nationals with foreign degree must meet the minimum educational requirements as given in 1 to 3 above and equivalent to an Indian Master’s degree in the relevant disciplines.

II. Instructions for Applicants

All applicants must apply online. https://erp.apexedu.org/

The portal is compatible to Mozilla Firefox. Candidates are advised to use Mozilla Firefox browser only.

Multiple programmes may be applied by the applicant. Separate registration and application fee is required for each programme.

After registration, Application ID (to be used as login name) with Password will be sent to the email ID provided by the applicant.

Using the login credential, applicants must login to the Admission Portal for form filling.

Application fees must be paid only by online payment portal from this site.

After completion and submission of the online form, filled in form in PDF format will be generated.

On the day of interview and or written test, the shortlisted candidates should bring a printed copy of the on-line filled in form along with all the original of necessary documents (to support all educational qualification, date of birth, category, GATE/NET score and if any etc.) and a set of photocopy of all such documents, duly self-attested.

Important Note

The scanned copy of Class 10 certificate (as Name and Age proof), 12th / Diploma mark sheet, under-graduate degree, Last Qualifying Degree Mark Sheet (as eligibility proof) and Caste Certificate (if applicable) must be uploaded on the portal.

Sponsored and Part time candidates including Institute staff must submit Sponsorship and No-Objection certificate as the case may be in prescribed format at the time of admission without which there will be no admission (available in Institute website).

Candidate should apply for Ph.D. program through online mode only. Offline hand written, or printed application will not be entertained. Requisite non-refundable application fee as applicable has to be submitted through online payment portal only.

Apex University, Jaipur will not take any responsibility for failure on the part of the candidates in making payment of application fee online.

Selection Procedure:

On submission of online application, the candidates fulfilling eligibility conditions will be short-listed. The short-listed candidates will be required to report for written test and interview to the concerned department. Selection will be made on the basis of performance of the candidates in the written test and interview and availability of seats.

Fee will be paid semester wise for the two semesters in a year. Enrolled scholar will pay fee for the minimum period (minimum 3 years for Ph.D. full time and 4 years for Ph.D. part time) and for the period they stay enrolled until thesis submission, upper limit being 6 years

If The Candidate fails to submit the Dissertation within the stipulated time period, he/she will be required to register in next semester with requisite semester fee.

If the Candidate fail to deposit the Registration fee the registration will we cancelled and the seat will be allotted to next wait listed candidate.

No Refund shall be entertained for PhD Fee

Fee is subject to revision from time to time as decided by the University.
